Enrique Graue

Rector of the National Autonomous University of Mexico

    Senior Vice President of Efficacy and Research in the Office of the Chief Education Advisor at Pearson

    He obtained his medical degree in Surgery and the Ophthalmology Specialty from the National Autonomous University of México (UNAM), and completed his postgraduate studies in Corneal Transplants in the University of Florida.

    He is Rector of the National Autonomous University of Mexico. Among the main positions he has held in connection with his professional activity, he held the General Directorate of the Institute of Ophthalmology Foundation Conde de Valenciana, where he is currently President of the Board of Trustees. Founder and president of the Mexican Center of Cornea and president of the Mexican Society of Ophthalmology and the Mexican Council of Ophthalmology; President of the Pan American Association of Ophthalmology and Vice President of the International Council of Ophthalmology; belongs to the Mexican Academy of Surgery, is the current president of the National Academy of Medicine and Vocal of the National Council for the Prevention and Treatment of Visual Diseases, these two last consultative bodies of the Presidency of the Republic.It has more than 134 articles in national and international magazines; is the author of five books related to his professional activity. It has 30 chapters in books of national and international projection. Lecturer in more than 650 forums, in countries of Latin America, the United States and Europe.

    He has been recognized, among others, with the González Castañeda Award from the Mexican Academy of Surgery, the Elias Sourasky Award from the Mexican Foundation for Health and the Gradle medal for good teaching awarded by the Pan American Association of Ophthalmology.
