Ignacio de la Vega

Associate Provost for Academic Affairs Faculty and Internationalization Tecnológico de Monterrey

    Ignacio de la Vega has been Executive Vice Provost for Academic Affairs, Faculty and Internationalization of Tecnológico de Monterrey since February 1, 2021. During the three and a half years prior to this date, Ignacio served as Dean of EGADE Business School and the Business School of Tecnológico de Monterrey. He has an outstanding track record as an entrepreneurial leader in the academic, financial and governmental sectors.

    Prior to joining EGADE Business School, he served as Managing Director of Babson Global, an organization that integrates Babson College’s Global Entrepreneurial Leadership Centers, for which he developed innovative programs and collaborative research initiatives with a focus on entrepreneurship.

    He participated in the launch of the Prince Mohammad Bin Salaman College (MSBC) in Saudi Arabia, in partnership with Babson College, Emaar Group, Lockheed Martin and Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman.

    Previously, he was Global Chief Learning Officer for BBVA, where he collaborated directly with the Group’s Chairman, CEO and Executive Committee in the transformation of its corporate training model. He was president of the Global Entrepreneurship Monitor (GEM), an international observatory that studies entrepreneurship trends in the world, which brings together more than 450 researchers and collaborators in 90 countries.

    For 20 years, Ignacio collaborated as a teacher, researcher and manager at IE Business School, where he also directed the International Center for Entrepreneurship and Business Project Development. In recent years he has been an active entrepreneur and investor in several startups and SMEs.
