Ignacio de la Vega

Vicerrector Ejecutivo de Asuntos Académicos Facultad e Internacionalización, Tecnológico de Monterrey

    Dr. De la Vega currently serves as Associate Provost for Academic Affairs, Faculty, and Internationalization at Tecnológico de Monterrey, the leading private university in LATAM. He previously served as the Dean of EGADE Business School and the Undergraduate Business School at Tecnológico de Monterrey. During his tenure, he implemented the EGADE 2025 Vision, increased research output, and strengthened the faculty. He also launched the TEC21 educational model at the School of Business, which saw significant growth in recruitment and student satisfaction. Prior to his role at Tecnológico de Monterrey, Dr. De La Vega served as the Chief Learning Officer for BBVA and held leadership positions at Madrid’s IE Business School. He has extensive experience teaching Entrepreneurial Management and Business Strategy and has won numerous teaching excellence awards. Dr. De La Vega has also been involved in the expansion of Babson Global Centers of Entrepreneurial Leadership in the world and has conducted research on informal investment in start-ups. He holds a Ph.D. from IE University, a Law Degree from Universidad Complutense, and a Master’s degree in international relations from the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy. In 2021, he was nominated as “Educator of the Year” by the Academy of International Business.
