Seguir m\u00e9todos rigurosos de ense\u00f1anza limita el talento propio de las personas, acabando con su curiosidad natural por cuestionarse lo que sucede a su alrededor.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Los m\u00e9todos tradicionales para la ense\u00f1anza de ciencias dictan que los alumnos memoricen datos, definiciones o estructuras, es decir detalles, que s\u00ed bien son informaci\u00f3n esencial, es informaci\u00f3n que perder\u00e1 relevancia en la vida del alumno si realmente no encuentra un v\u00ednculo emocional entre lo que estudia con lo que hace. La ciencia es mucho m\u00e1s que solo informaci\u00f3n, la ciencia es un proceso que implica que los alumnos se formulen preguntas de lo que observan a su alrededor.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A\u00f1o con a\u00f1o alumnos de todo el mundo huyen de las clases de ciencias gracias al uso de m\u00e9todos de ense\u00f1anza que pregonan lo que DeWitt denomina la \u201cpedagog\u00eda del dedo\u201d, es decir un culto a la seriedad y a la tiran\u00eda de la precisi\u00f3n de datos, adem\u00e1s de la falta de humor que existe bajo la idea de que \u201csi no se es serio, no se puede ser cient\u00edfico\u201d. \u00bfCu\u00e1ntos alumnos (posibles cient\u00edficos) han abandonado el estudio de las ciencias porque simplemente no les emociona?<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Para DeWitt contar historias es un gran apoyo para explicar temas complejos, pues despierta la motivaci\u00f3n de los alumnos, produce emociones y permite la creaci\u00f3n de v\u00ednculos entre lo que se estudia y el contexto que rodea al alumno.
