Associate Vice President of Internationalization from Tecnológico de Monterrey
He has held leadership roles in academia, business, civic and government based in the United States, Mexico and Canada. He has been Managing Director of the North American Development Bank; Executive Director at the National Bank of Foreign Trade of Mexico; and Founding President of the North American Center at Arizona State University.
He has been active in more than 50 civic organizations internationally. Former Chairman of the Board of the U.S.-Mexico Foundation in New York.
Author of essays published in the U.S., Mexico, Canada, the U.K. and the Netherlands, and speaker in over 30 countries. He has participated in organizing and conducting public sessions and interviews with the Prime Minister of Singapore, Bill Gates, Rafael Reif, Brad Smith, Yuval Harari, Fareed Zakaria, David Rubenstein, Anne Applebaum, Ernesto Zedillo, Michael Crow and Darren Walker, among others. He hosted for six years a weekly business program on Univision TV – Texas.
He has been awarded with the Officer’s Cross of the Order of Civil Merit of King Felipe VI of Spain, and with the Ohtli Award by the government of Mexico, among others. He graduated from Tecnológico de Monterrey and Harvard University, where he was appointed Littauer Fellow.
