She has been the National Education Officer for the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization in México since 2015.
She studied pedagogy at the Universidad Panamericana and has a master’s degree in Educational Leadership from the University of San Diego. She worked for 10 years in educational planning and policy issues at the Ministry of Public Education. Later, at Valora Consultoría S.C. she participated in evaluation projects of educational institutions and programs. She was an education consultant at UNICEF México, leading projects on early childhood development and educational quality and inclusion.
At UNESCO, she is responsible for the education program where she has collaborated with different levels of government and academic institutions to promote the United Nations education goals and strategies for their follow-up, implementing programs on intercultural education, use of mobile devices for literacy, analysis of educational policies and models of school coexistence and global citizenship.
